General rules
- The Rules of Internal Regulations for the students (hereinafter Regulations) govern the relationship between the students of Stalwart University Institute, students’ relationship with the employees and the academic personnel of the Institution, as well as define the rights and responsibilities of the students. 2. The regulations are binding for all students SUI and non-observance of the Regulations may lead to liability as provided in the Regulations or other documents governing the activities of the Institution.
- The Regulations are approved and amended by the Administration of the Institution.
- Compliance with the Regulations and their enforcement is controlled by the Administration of SUI.
- All students are familiarized with the Regulations, which is certified by their signature in the study contract. The Regulations are available at the front desk, on the webpage www.stalwartuniversityinstitute.com and in the informative system of SUI.
Organization of student activities
- The academic year starts and finishes in compliance with the study schedule of the relevant study programme, approved by MINESUP Cameroon for each academic year
- The lecture timetable for the students is prepared by the Study Information Department according to the study schedule of each academic group.
- The students take their exams and tests according to the study schedule. Rights of students
Policies, Rules and Regulations
- According to the Constitution of the SUI, students have the right to: 9.1. acquire education in accordance with the concluded study contract;
9.2. use the premises, facilities, and other objects in compliance with the procedure established by the SUI School;
9.3. interrupt and resume the studies in compliance with the procedure established in the study contract;
9.4. obtain information directly related to the study procedure; 9.5. during the study period, express freely and defend their views and opinions;
9.6. elect representatives and be elected to the student self government body; participate in the self-government institutions of the SUI at all levels;
9.7. in compliance with established procedures, attend academic activities organized by other higher educational institutions and take necessary exams;
9.8. for the purposes of the study programme acquisition, access freely the Internet services;
Responsibilities of students
- To observe these Regulations, the Constitution of the Institution, the requirements set forward in the Ethical Code of the SUI, the terms of use of the Library, lecture rooms, accessories etc the rules of the internal regulation of other internal regulatory acts of the Institution.
- To observe the study procedure established by SUI, as well as, according to the procedure defined by the study contract, to cover tuition fees established by the Administration.
- To observe the timetable of the classes.
- To acquire the selected study programme in a determined and fair manner.
- To observe the rules of conduct established at the SUI
Policies, Rules and Regulations
14.1. to maintain undivided attention during the lecture / class time, mobile devices (phones, tablets, etc.) must be turned off and must not be on the table except if needed for classwork. Replies to text messages can be sent during the break;
14.2. when arriving late to class, the student briefly greets the teacher and the audience in a form of apology, without shaking hands with his / her fellow students;
14.3. when dealing with the study process-related issues over the phone, the student must first identify himself / herself by his / her name, surname, group, and briefly state his / her problem;
14.4. when applying for an individual consultation with the lecturer, the agreement must be made in a timely manner (preferably at least 2 days in advance);
14.5. the academic staff are addressed by surname and by adding the lecturer’s academic position or Mr / Ms in front of it;
14.6. when the assignment is submitted on paper, it must be in A4 format, with straight edges (not serrated);
14.7. when entering the lift, both the lecturers and the students greet everyone on the lift already;
14.8. business style is followed in electronic correspondence; 14.9. if necessary, students may have a drink of water during the lecture, but it is not permissible to consume food;
- Not to use alcoholic drinks, narcotic or toxic substances on the premises of the Institution nor attend classes or activities organized by the SUI under the influence of alcohol or narcotic or toxic substances.
- To observe hygienic and fire safety regulations.
- Not to smoke on Campus and abide by the smoking restrictions on the premises
- To treat the property of SUI with due care regardless of its location and purposes of use. Any student who destroys any property on campus is held responsible for replacing or fixing

- To behave politely, observe common daily life regulations and requirements, refrain from actions which might be disturbing for other students, academic faculty or staff of the school.
- Address the underlying causes or conditions (an accident or an emergency situation that endangers human life or health) which hinder or interfere with the study process, and if it is not possible to eliminate such causes by themselves, report immediately administration, as well as inform the staff of the SUI.
- To switch off the light and organize one’s own workplace at the end of the lesson.
- Not to take any property of SUI outside its premises or without the permission of the person liable for the material assets.
- Inform SUI guardian at the reception about any large or suspicious objects being brought into or out of the premises and present them for the guard’s visual inspection.
Liability for non-fulfilment of the Rules of Internal Regulation 25. The failure to observe the Study Contract, the Rules of Internal Regulation for the
Students, the Rules of Internal Regulation, or demands of the Institution for the students, by the order of the Director, the following penalties may be imposed: 25.1. notification,
25.2. reprimand,
25.3. Expelled.
- Before the penalty is enforced, the student submits a written explanation to the relevant study director about the infringement committed. 27. The penalty is applied while taking into account the seriousness of the infringement, its circumstances, as well as any information which characterizes the student’s personality.
- The student has rights to appeal against a penalty imposed on him/her or against ex-matriculation in accordance with SUI’s procedures.

- Regardless of the penalty imposed, the student is obliged to pay in full the losses incurred due to his/her fault.
Health & Safety Policy
- SUI realises and takes responsibilities as an employer for supplying safe and healthy working environment and surroundings for the Institution’s employees, its students and its visitors.
- The Institution will make every effort to make arrangements to ensure that all individuals on the premises understand the procedures and its policy of Health and Safety.
- An annual written assessment will be provided and produced to meet the risk of health and safety to its known employees, students and visitors. All arrangements will be put into practice in order to prevent and protect the measures, which follow the risk assessment.
- The administration of Stalwart University Institute is responsible for ensuring the overall implementation of the Institution’s Health and Safety Policy and for ensuring the policy is followed effectively. This therefore ensures the responsibilities in the designated work place environment are risk free. Measures of reported incidents that do not operate within the Institution’s
health and safety policy should be dealt with immediately and with added caution, involving external agencies where necessary.
- Employees will be informed of the duties they should carry out under in order to take care of their own safety and who ever may be affected by their acts to enable the Institution to carry out its own responsibilities successfully, effectively and efficiently.
- Various measurable steps will be taken in the maintenance of equipment and systems in order to ensure the safety of such items within the workplace. 36. Adequate and appropriate information, instruction, training and supervision with great clarity will be made available to enable all employees to avoid hazards at work and also to contribute positively to the health and safety procedures and policy.

- All Fire Exits will be marked in bright colours (green) and every individual will know and understand the procedures, and each individual of the Institution will be notified of the assembly point in the case of a fire.
