PROGRAM OVERVIEW
A major energy in the world, petroleum is also a huge industrial sector, which calls on specialized engineers for its extraction, processing and processing operations. Field profession par excellence, it covers many areas of specialization:
- The field of Engineering describes the oil reserves in a given geographical area. It determines the number of wells, their nature and location, as well as the drilling schedule.
- It is the engineer’s responsibility to prepare oil exploration programs to dig the ground at sea (off-shore) or on dry land (on-shore), through the monitoring of the realization of the well and carry out tests.
- The process engineer ensures the technical monitoring of the refinery, with a constant concern for the performance and proper functioning of the platform with maximum safety, for people and for the environment.
- The oil installations engineer designs the various installations. Once the well is drilled, the operations engineer is responsible for the treatment (separation of oil, gas and water) and transport of the hydrocarbons.
- The downstream research engineer deals, finally, with the transformation of oil into fuel oil, gasoline or lubricant.
- Study mode: Full time
- Duration of the program: 3 years for the License and 5 years for the Master
- Language of instruction: English and / or French
