PROGRAM OVERVIEW
To understand Architectural program is part of the tradition of polytechnic training of architects, designers and practitioners with a solid theoretical background: the project at the architectural, urban and territorial scale is nourished as a central discipline by the contributions of the theory and history, sociology and economics, construction, the study of structures, building physics, plastic arts and various forms of representation and modeling.
At the Bachelor level, this is a solid systematic basic training which is at the same time theoretical and scientific. At the Master level, it follows an in-depth approach to questions related to current issues such as: preservation of the environment, promotion of sustainable development, optimization of buildings on the energy plan, use of new materials, the need to control production costs, or even anticipation of the social and economic consequences of planning decisions.

ADMISSION AND ENROLLMENT CONDITIONS
Admission to this program is competitive, and applicants must meet the minimum requirements.
Conditions for admission:
- French-speaking cycle

- Holder of a probatoire in any series
- Holder of a Baccalaureat in any series
- With not more than three repeats.
- English-speaking cycle
- Holder of a GCE O level in any 4 subjects
- Holder of a GCE A level in two subjects
- With not more than three repeats.
Language Requirements
Students who do not meet the language requirements but meet all other requirements are eligible and will be required to take an Aptitude test for English or French. The results are required to be presnted to the admissions office before the start of the next academic year. Without which the the student will not be able to register for the courses.
APTITUDE TEST
This is an exam for those who do not meet up with the language requirements . A second chance is given to you by SUI to sit in for a language exam. This will enable you have a valid certificate which will show that you validated the English proficiency exam to grant you the cridencials to meet up with the admission requirements , under the supervision and mentorship of the university of Buea.
Registration:
When registering, students are required to present photocopies of the following documents:
- Probatoire and Baccalaureate or the GCE – Ordinary and Advanced Level result slip and or certificate
- Birth certificate
- A hand written application
- Photocopy of national identity card (optional)
Transferring students must present:
- All other documents listed in the admission requirements to the program
- A copy of your most recent academic transcripts / records, signed and authorized by your institution.
- Any student requesting a transfer must have a related academic background and meets the minimum admission requirements
